Talk  to  send  text, email and translate Languages   Using SayType's address book.

English and Spanish speaking callers can use their address book to provide the added value of using two initials of a contact to send text and e-mail messages. In addition, messages can be translated and delivered in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Greek, and Dutch.

How to :

  1. First, make sure your phone is set to “Caller ID enabled / Call privacy-off”, else prefix the phone number with “*82” (e.g. *829169477325) as an alternative to enabling caller ID.
  2. Call 916-94-SPEAK (916-947-7325) and wait for the tone to say any 2 initials. (E.g. “J”,”K”, for John Kent) within a few minutes you will receive a text message on the same cell phone you used to place the call with.
  3. After your first phone call to 916-94-SPEAK, your phone number will be added to the database so that you can log in to your address book. Your default password is the same as your 10-digit cell phone number (e.g. 9165023498). Your trial period is your first 21 messages.
  4. All initials in your address book will be populated with your own phone number. Feel free to modify these entries by entering the phone numbers and email addresses of your choice (e.g. friends and family)
  5. For Language Translations, for each contact, there is a drop down bar to the far right of the contact information that provides easy access for selecting the desired language your message will be translated to and sent as.
  6. After updating your address book, call 818-792-5088.  Save this number in your phone under speed and voice dialing for faster and easier hands-free access.  Prefix the number with *82 if you’d like to keep your caller ID off.  (E.g. *82-818-792-5088)
  7. At the tone, say ‘1’ for a text message or ‘2’ for an email, then say the initials of the person you would like to send a message to followed by the same number you started with. (E.g. 1JS1).   In other words, prefix and suffix your “initials” with your option (ether 1 or 2).  For example:  Let’s say you want to “voice to text” Mr. John Smith.  “Voice to text” command is “1”, therefore (say: “one”, “J”, “S”, “one”)
  8. Leave a normal voice message up to 120 seconds.

The message will be converted to text and sent as a text message or email message in the selected language (whichever you specified) to the person specified by the initials in your address book!
