How to Send hands free text messages:
- Call 916-94-SPEAK (916-947-7325).
- Wait for the tone.
- Say the phone number. (area code and number, ex; 916-502-3498)
- Leave a normal voice message up to 120 seconds.
- Speak slowly and clearly for best results.
Make sure your phone is set to “Caller ID enabled / Call privacy-off”, or add “*82” (e.g. *829169477325) as an alternative to disabling caller ID.
Example: "916-502-3498. Hey John, I'm just trying out this new hands free service that uses voice to text."
To review and edit your text messages before they are sent, leave voice messages without a phone number at the beginning. The text message will be sent to your phone directly. Manually edit the message by selecting to forward it. When you are finished, select a contact from your cell phone and press send.
